I’m going to share a simple square stitch bracelet tutorial with you. It’s simple and repetitive. Once you get the hang of it, you can create a lot of designs. You’ll be surprised at all the different looks you can get with this stitch. I prefer using Delica seed beads for this stitch. I think it looks smoother. But that’s just me.
All you need are some seed beads, jewelry thread, small jump rings, small chain and a clasp. I used size 10 seed beads for this project.
Add a stop bead first, and then load your thread with 6 beads. This is your first row.
Add a bead to your needle and pass it through the last bead of your first row from left to right.
Pull tight. Then pass your needle through the last bead you added, from right to left.
Pull tight, and it should look this this photo:
Add a bead to your needle and pass it through the next bead in your first row, from left to right.
Then pass your needle through the last bead you added from right to left.
Pull tight and it should look like this photo:
When you get to the end of the row, flip your piece over and repeat the above steps. That’s pretty easy, isn’t it?
When I was finished and had tied off my threads, I added jump rings, chain and clasp. Now I have a sassy looking bracelet.
I hope you found this square stitch bracelet tutorial helpful. Have fun beading!!!
