Hi all! How about inexpensive patio lights?
While browsing Dollar Tree one day I saw these pretty leis. My mind clicked. I bought 2 of them.
When I got home I dug out a string of 100 count Christmas lights.
My plan was to use each double flower per light, but I was short about 20. Since I already had some faux flowers, I used a few to fill in the gaps.
After disassembling the lei’s, I used my little scissors to poke a hole in the center of the lei flowers, and push the light through.
With a hot glue gun put a dab of glue on the back and between your double layers. The wind will blow them off if you don’t.
For the faux flowers, I just pulled them off the stem and removed the parts holding them together. Then I pushed them onto the light and added a dab of glue.
That’s all there is to it! Hang and enjoy!
Here’s a night photo.
