Hi all. I thought I’d share a quick swirl bead-stitched bracelet today. All it takes is a simple right angle weave. I have several in this pattern because it’s so quick to make, and I can wear it with other bracelets. Change your bead type and color, and you can get different looks.
**ALWAYS pass your needle through the last beads added a second time when using the right angle weave. Otherwise your beads will be floppy and loose. I won’t add it to the instructions, but you need to always do that.
All you need are 4mm sized beads, and 11 aught seed beads. The number of beads required depends on your wrist size.
1- Add 1 4mm bead, 3 seed beads, 1 4mm bead, and a seed bead to your needle.
2- Pass your needle through them a second time.
3- Pull the thread tight, and tie 2 knots, leaving a 10 inch tail to add your clasp to.
4- Pass your needle back through 1 seed bead and a 4mm bead.
5- Pass your needle through the next seed bead.
6- Add 3 seed beads to your needle, skipping a seed bead pass your needle down through the third seed bead. Pull tight.
7- Pass your needle down through the next 4mm bead.
8- Add 1 seed bead, 1 4mm bead, and 3 seed beads to your needle. Pass it back down through the 4mm bead that you just exited. Pull tight.
9- Pass your needle back through until you are exiting the 1st of the 3 seed beads.
10- Add 3 seed beads to your needle, and pass it down through the 4mm bead.
11- Pass your needle through until you are exiting the next 4mm bead. Repeat Steps 9 through 11.
12- Now you should have 3 4mm beads with seed bead crowns. Add 3 seed beads, 1 4mm bead, and 1 seed bead to your needle. Pass back through the last 4mm bead you exited.
13- Your piece should look like the photo below. Pass your needle through the beads until you are exiting the 1st of the 3 adjoining seed beads.
14- Add 3 seed beads to your needle, and pass down through the 3rd seed bead, and all the following beads until you are exiting the last 4mm bead. You probably have the hang of it now, and can finish it on your own.
Here’s my finished product.
And here’s another one that I did using Czech fire-polished 4mm beads.
I hope you enjoy your swirl bead-stitched bracelet.
