Hi all! Over the years I’ve tried a few of those Pinterest ideas. Some have failed, some have been successes. Wooden hose posts is one that we’ve been very proud of. I’m not mentioning any particular source because there are several. We made them two and a half years ago, and they’re still as strong as the day we made them. One of my autumn fall tasks was touching up the paint on them.
They are made of treated 4×4’s, 4 feet long each. Then wood squares and a finial attached to their tops. Cheap metal hose holders were attached to their fronts, and a coat of black outdoor paint finished it. We simply dug a hole about 12 or so inches and set them in. That’s all!
There are now 7 items checked off my autumn task list, leaving 15 to go. Fall officially starts tomorrow, and I think we’re moving along pretty well. I want my home in tip top shape before winter hits. For us it isn’t until around Thanksgiving, giving us a couple of more months to go.
How is your fall list coming along? I hope I’m being an inspiration. I have more garage projects coming in addition to my autumn task list, some organizing ideas, home updates, and then lots of Christmas decor and DIY’s. Hope to see you back.
