Hi all! I hope you had a great weekend. We started our fall list of tasks this past weekend, and I’m sore. Old, stiff and sore. That describes it best. I’ll be sharing my fall task list and what we accomplished later this week.
Everyone that comes over heads right to my kitchen. There’s something about kitchens that draw people to it. And since they linger there the longest, it’s where they are most likely to see your dirt. The room they least notice dirt is the living room/family room. Their eyes focus on the TV. As long as the TV screen is clean, you’re probably okay with a little dust. Keep your kitchen clean, and no one will accuse you of being a slob.
First, I use baking soda with a little water and scrub the soap dispenser of the dishwasher. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but soap tends to cake and dry on it. About once every couple of months I’ll run a cup of vinegar through the cycle, followed by a cup of baking soda.
A good rinse and it looks pretty good.
Then I give the dish drainer a good wash.
All that’s left is a quick wipe of the counter, cabinets and dishwasher front. I polish the counter top with Method Granite Cleaner, polish the cabinets with furniture polish, and polish the dishwasher front with a stainless steel polish. The magic is all in the polishing.
I hope this was helpful for you.
