Good morning all! I’ve been knocked down by one of the worst cases of flu, with no energy to do much. I had created ribbon bookmarks a couple of weeks ago to add to Easter baskets this year. Let me show you how I did them, and you’ll be able to make your own creation.
The supplies I used was a piece of ribbon about 14 inches long, 2 ribbon clasps (you can find them in the jewelry making department), jump rings and cute charms. The size of the jump rings will be determined by the size of your charms. I wanted to add bling, so my project also included seed beads, 1 6mm and 2 4mm bicones, and a head pin.
The tools you’ll need for this project are scissors, 2 jewelry pliers, wire cutter, and fray check.
The first thing I did was add fray check to the ends of the ribbon. After it dried, I inserted them into the ribbon clasps and squeezed them shut with the pliers.
Slide your beads onto the head pin, and make loops at each end.
Add the beads to the ribbon clasp’s loop with a jump ring.
Using another jump ring, add your charms to the beads.
On the other end of the ribbon, I added some seed beads to a jump ring to keep it simple but have a finished look.
Vary your ribbon and charms for different looks.
