A couple of Christmas’s ago, I bought this little pine from Walmart for about 6 bucks. It was much smaller and had some Christmas ornaments on it. I thought it was so cute, and something different from the usual poinsettia. I can’t kill a plant on purpose, so I took the ornaments off and kept watering it. I never thought it would last. Well, it’s still here and growing.
I found out that it’s not a real pine and requires a plant zone of 10 to 11. Since mine is 6, it has to stay inside. I keep it near a sunny window. It seems to like plenty of water.
I keep turning the pot so it will grow and fill out evenly. It’s an easy indoor plant. I’ve read they can grow up to 20 feet tall indoors. I won’t be able to keep it when it gets that tall.
I love the color and texture of it, and am glad I brought it home.
