Gardening pays off when it comes to floral bouquets and centerpieces. All the way into November. I don’t have any special floral arrangement skills or knowledge. But I do have the flowers in my garden, and I won’t leave all of them for the birds. Here I’ve arranged dried cockscomb and autumn sedum.
To dry the flowers, after cutting them from the plant I tied them together and hung them upside down in a dark dry place for 2 weeks. I shook the cockscomb cuttings as best I could outside, but there were still a lot of seeds on them.
I placed my flowers in first.
I used faux greenery to fill it in because I didn’t have anything green in the yard that I liked.
Then I added some feathers for fun.
And that’s all that I did. The best part about dried flowers is that you don’t have to worry about keeping them watered.
Go plan a garden for next year and have fun.
