It’s hard to believe that school will be starting soon. What a fast summer. I want to share some quick bows I made from fabric scraps.
I’m always looking for ways to dress up the pillow case dresses that I make for Operation Christmas Child. Since I make 50+ dresses a year, buying ribbon can get costly, and I can’t always depend on a donation. Donations come as flood or famine. I made a little paper template with one end at 1″ and the other end at 5/8″. I cut 2 out on the fold of a small piece of scrap fabric.
Then open them up and pin them wrong sides together.
Zigzag them together.
Just tie a knot and they’re ready to use.
I made a bunch to have handy when I want one.
This bow is from the same fabric as the trim along the bottom of the pillow case dress.
Just one of many ways to use up those scrap pieces of fabric.
