With Easter almost here, I thought I would show my vintage jewelry cross. I’ve collected vintage jewelry from thrift stores for years with no real intent other than I just like them. When I was about 4 years old I had someone’s discarded rhinestone bracelet that I wore every day. I thought I was the cat’s meow. And I’ve been addicted to rhinestones since.
I hung it right off the foyer in the hallway. It was in my craft room, but my husband and son would mention now and then that I should hang it where they could see it, too.
I made the cross a couple of years ago after seeing some similar ones on Pinterest. Ahh, my other addiction. I’d have to live 10 life times in order to do all the ideas I see on Pinterest.
I used some leftover fabric from my recent Euro pillow covers as a background. The two matching flower looking pieces at each end are 1 3/4″ wide. Can you believe those were clip on earrings!?
The pieces are attached with a hot glue gun.
But the truth is, Jesus is far beyond the value of rhinestones, diamonds and all the money in the world. This is just a feeble attempt at trying to show how much I glorify Him.
Here is another little cross hanging next to it.
