It’s the last day of February and I’m wrapping up the month with my last living room project. It’s a good thing February had an extra day in it this year. In March I’ll be tweaking my bedroom. There isn’t much to do in there except add some color. Oh, yeah, I’m getting addicted to color in the house. So onto today’s project: drip painted planter.
I found this small planter on sale for $2.50. No great loss if I ruined it trying out this project.
After turning it upside down and hanging it on a tall vase, I started squeezing acrylic paint all around the top edge (actually the bottom edge).
I squeezed a few more colors.
And a few more colors.
Then I left it alone. Here’s how it looked a couple of hours later.
I let it dry for 48 hours before using it.
I didn’t know if I would like it or not, but I am really pleased with it.
I like that it’s unique, colorful and easy.
