I’ve been adding to my gallery wall in the dining room. I moved my turquoise candle holder to it, and created an Anthropologie Knock Off Ikat Monogram Letter.
Here’s the original for $16.00. Using what I already had, mine was free.
My gold wood initial was blah. I have plenty of gold tone decor around, and now I need more punches of color.
First I traced the letter onto some paper. After cutting out the paper initial, I pinned it to this Ikat fabric, and cut out. I think I got the fabric from Hobby Lobby last year.
I cut out some pieces of the initial from two other fabric scraps.
I laid those pieces on top of the fabric initial, so I would know where to cut.
I modge podged the pieces of fabric to the wood initial.
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before that I’m a craft supply hoarder. And that includes scraps of ribbon, rick rack, lace, and trim.
Then I just glue gunned the trim along the seams.
And here’s my knock off on the wall:
It was an easy little craft project that I did one evening. I guess there aren’t too many rules to gallery walls. If so, I hope no one tells me, because I’m liking it.
